The day in a life of a photographer - this is probably not as glamorous as you may imagine! Some days I'll be trampling through mud just to get that perfect scenery in the background, or up to my knees in water, photographing that senior by the waterfall. Other days, you'll find me snuggling with a cute, soft newborn, or chasing a rambunctious 2 year old around the studio. One thing is for sure - my days are never dull!
I'm always looking for that perfect shot. What you may see as a rusty staircase leading to a run down apartment, I will see as a great place for my senior to sit and pose for me. I find great backdrops in the strangest places, and by using a particular angle, I can make it work to be the perfect shot. I am very lucky to have Lebanon as the basis for many of my senior shoots. There is an abundance of old, narrow alleyways, wooden doors, metal staircases, bridges, the list goes on and on. Maybe the senior would like more of a rural look to her pictures - Lebanon is great for that too! Many parks and fields are close by, just waiting for that beautiful sunset to be the backdrop to her favorite picture. Of course, I may have to lay in the middle of the road to get that amazing shot, or be eaten alive by mosquitos, but that's a small price to pay!
